Name: Oliver Wood
Age: I think that should make him something around 47...
Gender: male
Blood: pureblood
Family:
Iain Wood (78) (retired) (father)
Amy Wood (76) (retired) (mother)
Rora Wood (wife)
Cole Wood (17) (son)
Juliet Wood (15) (daughter)
Jade Wood (16) (daughter)
Sexual Orientation: straight
Appearance:
Oliver is in the average of height, about 5'9''. When he was young, and even now, he always had short hair. It was more because longer would make them come in his face while playing quidditch. His hair is of a brown color, so as his eyes. If you look carefully, he begins to have a few silver hair. Having trained all his life, his shape is muscular, but not too apparent the same time. His skin tone has a light tan due of being outside so often.
Celeb Claim: Do I have to stick with Sean Biggerstaff even if he's too young or shall I pick somebody else?
Job: former professional player, now flying teacher and quidditch referee at Hogwarts
Personality:
Oliver is still a great fan of quidditch. But ever since he started his family, he learned quidditch was not all. Now his new addiction is his family. It's true he'd like all of his children to love quidditch just as much as him, but he doesn't force them too. He is not a good orator which makes it hard for him to have conversation with his kids. But he tries.
Oliver isn't the kind to boast and even if he was a professional player, he doesn't act as if he was such a great person. He is the kind to congratulate people, especially his children, when they do something that is hard for them, but doesn't talk much when they do something amazing but he knows they were able in first place. Usually you can say that: when he doesn't say a thing he's pleased, if there is something, he'll tell you.
Oliver is courageous although he doesn't show it much. He doesn't like to be the knight in shining armor rescuing the damsel in distress. And that because the expectations are too big for him to bear. He also doesn't like much to show great signs of love in public. He is married, he loves his wife and children, he doesn't need the whole world to see it.
Likes:
- Quidditch
- Teaching to the first years how to fly
- His family
- Being with friends
- Music you can dance on
- Passing time alone with Rora
Dislikes:
- Seeing someone cry
- People hurting his family
- Arrogance
- Hypocrisy
- People being around him simply because he once was a great professional quidditch player
History:
Oliver's parents wanted a big family. But it took a lot of time and patience for them to have this one son and there were complications. So Oliver remained their only child. His father formerly worked in the Department of Magical Games and so had many tickets to quidditch matches. And he brought his son. Ever since he saw his first game, he knew he wanted to be one of those amazing players. He learned to fly at a very young age and showed great skills.
At the age of eleven, he received his letter. He entered Hogwarts and was sent to Gryffindor. He was sad to hear he couldn't be in the team for his first year but during his second, came for the trials and was immediately chosen as the new keeper. During his fifth year, he became captain of his team and tried everything possible to obtain the quidditch cup. Sadly, even if his team really was the best, he lost the first two years. Now that he was in his last, he was even more determined to obtain the cup and so impress the recruiters to become a professional player. After many hard, long and early training sessions, he finally won the cup.
After Hogwarts and due to his victory, it didn't take long for a recruiter to pick him. And he joined the Puddlemere reserved team. With his hard work and ardor, he made himself known quite fast. And after only two years was now part of the team. He noticed many girls around him, but never cared much about them. Until he saw Rora. She was different then the pack usually roaming around the players to have their fifteen minutes of glory at their arms. For once, he stopped focusing about quidditch and did all he could to get closer to Rora. He eventually married her.
He was a popular quidditch player for many years and for many reasons. First and mostly because he never changed of team, he always stayed with Puddlemere and even became the captain. But after a fifteen-year long career, he retired. Too many concussions and too little time with his family he loved. Since his children were now at Hogwarts, he applied as flying teacher and quidditch referee. He didn't have to beg to get the job!
