Fred was walking down the corridor writing on a piece of a paper as he went. He was working on an idea for a new prank and was on his way to test it out. Not wanting it to go wrong he continued to work on the formula. He'd need to get in, out, and as far away as possible. It was nighttime and soon enough Flich would be out trying to catch any stragglers who weren't in bed. Fred knew he wouldn't be back to his house before then but he was very good at sneaking.
There was one part of the prank that he just couldn't seem to get right. He stopped walking and began to work harder at figuring it out. Something was missing and he wondered if he could possibly need another mind to help him work it out. He wasn't sure who he could get though. With no siblings he didn't have them to go to and his cousins were already in bed. Maybe if he kept walking he'd run into someone before long.
Fred started forward again and began to descend a pair of stone stairs. He stopped right after the third step and walked back up. A few feet down the left corridor was a door he hadn't seen before. He walked over to it and opened it curiously, inside was a broom closet. Hogwarts must have one every few floors as he had seen various ones elsewhere. If he didn't manage to outrun Filch to his house then he could hide in the closet. Of course that was a last resort as it left him a sitting duck.
He closed the closet door and began to walk back towards the stone stairs. His nose was back on the paper and the formula as he began walking. He was too caught up in trying to figure it out that he didn't pay attention to anything else.

Shirley had been sneaking out of the Gryffindor tower since a while now. She had a life to leave and during night time, it was the better moment. She had had the joy of pranking a few Slytherins who had now pink hair and a green face. God this prank was so amazing. She giggled silently as the Slytherin were cursing names at her. Psh, like if she cared. They could call her whatever she wanted, she didn’t care one bit about them. Stupid Slytherins… well of course, they weren’t all stupid but most of them were. all the ones she had pranked. It was so funny to see them all chasing her who was, of course too fast for them to catch her.
“PARKER! COME BACK HERE! YOU’LL PAY FOR WHAT YOU’VE DONE” [/i] A smirk appeared on the blonde lips looking around for a spot where she could hide. “You shouldn’t be talking too loudly…Filch might get you.” Then, she spotted it; a closet she also spotted someone else; Fred Weasley. She smiled and grabbed his arm before dragging him in the nearest closet. She had taken notice of the paper he seemed to focus on but she knew if she wouldn’t have dragged him away with her, he’d get caught too and she didn’t want that to happen; Parker did have a heart after all. She looked up at the red haired boy who was a year older than she was. “Uh sorry if I’ve dragged you in there Fred, but Slytherins were chasing me.” She said with a fake innocent voice tone. “They strangely got pissed off after the prank I pulled on them.” She added before laughing softly then resting a hand on her mouth hearing the footsteps coming closer. Fred felt someone grab onto him and pull him away from the staircase. The paper almost slipped from his hand and he closed his fist around it, hearing it crackle in his hand. Everything then went dark and he heard the slam of a door, but not before seeing a flash of blonde hair. He recognized the girl as Shirley Parker, they were in Gryffindor together.
"When aren't the Slytherins chasing you?" Fred asked, smirking. Parker got in almost as much trouble with the Slytherins as he did. "That doesn't make any sense, why would they get mad about a prank?" Fred asked sarcastically, as he grinned widely, then quickly shut up when he heard footsteps stomping by. He kept his breathing quiet and listened to the ourside of the door for the Slytherins to pass. Or at least Fred hoped they would pass and not find him and Parker hiding in the closet.
Slowly the footsteps began to fade until they disappeared and Fred breathed normal agian. "What did you do to them this time, Parker?" Fred asked, and was finally able to find her in the dark now that his eyes had adjusted. He realized the closet they were in was rather small and Parker was just a few inches in front of him. Fred smoothed out the crinkly paper in his hand then folded it before slipping it into his pocket.
He couldn't see it anyway and there was no need to keep holding it.

"When aren't the Slytherins chasing you? That doesn't make any sense, why would they get mad about a prank?"
Shirley giggled as Fred questioned her. Those two got along pretty well, too well in fact. Some could’ve mistaken them for dating each other since they saw the two of them together often. Of course she had to tell them that they weren’t right and that they were just friends. She looked down seeing the shadows of the group of Slytherins but luckily for them, they walked away. Thank god, but she preferred to stay in there for a few more moments, in case Filch passed by. “Slytherins really don’t have the sense of humour...” She replied as a slight smirk played onto her lips.
"What did you do to them this time, Parker?"
Her smirk grew wilder at Fred’s question. “I just died their hair pink and their face green…” she said with a wilder smirk. “You should’ve see them, I should’ve taken a picture though… d**n it, I’ll do that next time.” The last part she had said was mostly to herself and she looked back up at her house mate, now smiling. Her gaze went back down on where he had been holding this paper. “What were you doing out there anyways?” She then asked curiously. Was he thinking about some prank? It’d be cool, she’d be up to help him anytime with that.

“Slytherins really don’t have the sense of humour...”
"Don't you know," Fred said, "That's one of the main things the hat checks for when it places you. If you don't have a sense of humor, you go straight to Slytherin." Fred chuckled at his own joke and listened to make sure he didn't hear anymore footsteps. Just because the Slytherins had passed din't mean Flich wasn't still out stalking the corridors.
“I just died their hair pink and their face green…” “You should’ve see them, I should’ve taken a picture though… d**n it, I’ll do that next time.”
"You come up with some of the best pranks I've seen in a long time," Fred said, laughing. "You'd do well at Weasley Wizard Wheezes." Fred could just picture the Slytherins with their pink hair and green faces. he was a bit sad he didn't think of it but he did have a pretty good prank in the making. Which drew his thoughts to the paper. He unfolded it and picked it back up.
“What were you doing out there anyways?”
Fred held up the paper for Parker to take or just look at. Whichever she preferred. "I'm working on a new prank I plan to pull on the Slytherins tonight," he answered. "But right here." Fred pointed at the paper. "I'm having a bit of trouble with trying to fix this formula. If it doesn't work then things are going to go very badly." Fred continued to hold the paper as his thoughts drifted to the formula.
Considering Parker made her own pranks maybe she could help him. "Have any ideas on what could fix it?" he asked, looking up at Parker.

"Don't you know, that's one of the main things the hat checks for when it places you. If you don't have a sense of humour, you go straight to Slytherin."
Shirley snickered at the idea. It was true that not a lot of Slytherins found their pranks so funny. She smiled up at him and soon enough giggled. It was weird to be stuck into a closet with Fred. She hadn’t expect she’d be stuck in a closet with her good friend Fred Weasley. She smiled even thought he could barely see her due to the darkness of that broom closet. “How did I forget about such a major detail.” she said jokingly while shaking her head slightly.
"You come up with some of the best pranks I've seen in a long time, you'd do well at Weasley Wizard Wheezes."
Her smile grew bigger at the compliment he had given to her and a very light blush appeared onto the blonde’s cheek. Well that was new, she hand’t expect herself to blush around a guy, it was unusual for her to do so, out of character. “Awe, I gladly take that compliment.” she replied while brushing her hair away from her eyes.
"I'm working on a new prank I plan to pull on the Slytherins tonight, I'm having a bit of trouble with trying to fix this formula. If it doesn't work then things are going to go very badly."
The girl paused and dropped her gaze to the paper, casted the lumos spell so she could be able to read what was written on the paper. “Let me see…” she said grabbing the paper and checking the formula he had written down. She didn’t look like it but the blonde did have a brain, unlike some people might think. “Oh, I know what you need, frog saliva, it always works when you work with any prank with glue… I know so, I’ve tried that once.” she told him with a grin before she said ‘nox’ the light disappear.
She moved or at least tried to move to be in a better position than she was; she had been between two brooms and it wasn’t very comfortable but unfortunately for her, she tripped over the second one and yelped, holding on Fred. After doing so, she remained silence hearing footsteps coming in their way, it was probably Filch. Great, all to make things better…her face had become slightly darker, she thanked the darkness from the closet wishing the janitor wouldn’t have in mind to go check out in the closet.

“How did I forget about such a major detail.”
"I have no idea," Fred said, chuckling. "Everyone knows that!" Fred could barely see Parker's face through the darkness but he thought he saw a smile. The main thing he could see was her golden hair. That was something he could see in the pitch dark. He had always liked the color of her hair.
“Let me see…” “Oh, I know what you need, frog saliva, it always works when you work with any prank with glue… I know so, I’ve tried that once.”
Fred let Parker take the paper from him and look it over he leaned his head over, having to stand on his tiptoes. He'd never realized before now that Parker was a few inches tall than him. "Frog saliva," Fred said, hitting himself on the forhead. "That's really obvious now that you mention it." Fred wondered where he could get frog saliva.
As he was thinking he felt Parker grab onto his shirt to keep herself steady. She yelped then suddenly stopped moving and that's when Fred heard the footsteps. He began to breath slowly trying not to make too much noise. It was difficult to stay in the position he was in. He could feel Parker leaning against him trying not to move herself. Fred could feel her breath on his face and he tried to ignore it.
Suddenly he heard the handle begin to turn and sucked in his breath. The door opened slightly spilling in a slit of light then he heard another voice. What sounded liked Filch shouted back then shut the door and his footsteps faded away. Fred breathed a sigh of relief and turned to Parker. "That was a close one," he said.

"I have no idea, everyone knows that!"
Shirley smirked slightly at Fred’s comment. She always liked to spend some time with him, and she had to admit that she liked being stuck into such a small space along with Fred. It’s possibly the closest the two have been in their whole life time at Hogwarts. She wouldn’t complain about that. Her inner self did want to be close to him after all.
"Frog saliva, that's really obvious now that you mention it."
She giggled lightly for an other time. She wondered about why he hadn’t thought about this one. She guessed that for once she knew something that he didn’t and could help him out with his pranks. She didn’t mind, it give her excuses of why she’s so often hanging around with him and of course, no one would ever notice the feelings she was having for him.
She droved her attention to Filch, he came so close to the closet. She practically held her breath, not wanting to end up into a month of detention, well, thinking about it, it’d be some more time spent along with Fred but she’d prefer to do something more fun than cleaning trophies.
Her heart stopped beating for a few moments while he opened the door but luckily for them he closed it. She let out a sigh of relief and smiled up at him, only realizing the closeness they were having at the moment. She blush for an other time and pulled away before placing herself into a more comfortable way. "That was a close one,"
Parker nodded smiling up at him. “A very close one.” she said before laughing lightly. It was so thrilling to be around Fred, getting in trouble became quite exciting she had to admit that.

Fred began breathing normally again when Parker moved away from him. He straightened out his shirt and cleared his throat. Parker had given him back his paper and he folded it and put it back in his pocket. He looked back up and Parker when she spoke.
“A very close one.”
"I've already gotten too many detentions for my parents liking this year," Fred said, chuckling. "If I got another one they'll start thinking I might actually enjoy my time at school." Fred grinned and moved carefully to the door. He stuck his ear against it listening for any footsteps. Then he slowly cracked it open and peered out.
He looked left and right and didn't see anybody coming. Fred then turned back to Parker, a mischievous look in his eyes. "How much are you against breaking and entering?" Fred asked her. He had finally figured out where he could find frog saliva. One of the only places was in the potion's teacher's stash.
"I need a partner in crime to make this prank work right," Fred said. "Are you game?" He wasn't really sure he even needed to ask. Parker was up for anything having to do with pranks. Fred opened the door the rest of the way and stepped out. He reached his hand back to help Parker out. The stuff littering the floor was quite dangerous.

"I've already gotten too many detentions for my parents liking this year, If I got another one they'll start thinking I might actually enjoy my time at school."
Shirley laughed slightly than smirked at him. She, unlike him, hadn’t got herself into a detention yet. She was proud of it; it was the first time that she hadn’t gotten much into detentions at the beginning of a year. Normally, she didn’t lose her time to be settled in one. “I didn’t get caught yet.” She told him with an other of her famous bright smile. “ I’m actually proud of it.” She added with a light chuckle.
She glanced over to him as he went over to the door checking if there were people around, it was true it was getting a bit boring to be locked in a closet while you couldn’t do anything in there. Well, you could do entertaining things but she wouldn’t dare to do that with Fred yet.
"How much are you against breaking and entering?"
She smirked how did he even thought about asking her the question? She thought he already knew the answer. “C’mon , I know you know the answer.” She said as her smirk grew slightly wilder as the time passed by. “Where will we get that saliva?” she asked him curiously.
"I need a partner in crime to make this prank work right, are you game?"
“You dare to ask me that when you already knew the answer? I thought you knew me better than that Fred, it makes me sad.” She said dramatically before giggling and letting Fred get out of the closet first, then accepted his hand and held onto it so she could get herself out of there.

“I didn’t get caught yet.” “ I’m actually proud of it.”
"I'll admit my pranking hasn't been very subtle, they almost always know it's me," Fred said, shrugging. "With this new formula though, subtleness is key. Which means I won't get caught. Unless the whole breaking and entering things goes south." Fred really hoped he wouldn't get caught stealing frog saliva. That sort of thing got you in a bit more trouble than dentention.
C’mon , I know you know the answer.” “Where will we get that saliva?”
"I know that the potion's teacher has some in their ingredients closet," Fred said, having remembered the teacher digging in there and Fred had glimpsed, purposefully, some of the ingredients. "I happened to see a few of the things in there when they were getting some ingredients."
“You dare to ask me that when you already knew the answer? I thought you knew me better than that Fred, it makes me sad.”
"I wasn't sure you wanted to risk blemishing your perfect no detention score," Fred said smirking, when he had helped Parker out of the closet he released her hand and shut the door. He then turned to her and grinned widely. "I'm think we should do this thing tonight, everyone's asleep so it's the perfect time."
They wouldn't be able to make the formula by tonight but getting the ingredient was key. If they got the frog saliva they could work on the formula back in Gryffindor house. It would take them about a day and then they could test it out. Preferrably on the Slytherins.

Shirley smiled after Fred spoke. Of course everyone knew about Fred’s prank… I mean, he was a Weasley for god’s sake and not only that, he was Fred Weasley II! She had heard of what the Weasley twins could do and it was always cool to hear of their prank. Besides, she did come over to Fred’s house during some vacations and it was cool talking to his dad and mum. They were both very nice. “Don’t worry, you won’t get caught if I’m here!” She said chuckling lightly.
"I know that the potion's teacher has some in their ingredients closet, I'm thinking we should do this thing tonight, everyone's asleep so it's the perfect time."
A glint of mischief could be seen into her greenish eyes at Fred’s words. It would be so, dangerous and exciting to get that frog saliva…of course she was in! He didn’t even need to ask her the question she’d be already trying to get that. “Oh yes! I’m up for this all the way!” She replied cheerfully as her face lightened up more than it already was.
"I wasn't sure you wanted to risk blemishing your perfect no detention score, I'm think we should do this thing tonight, everyone's asleep so it's the perfect time."
Parker smirked at Fred’s words. “Psh, non sense. I could always try to break that score, next year… or this year if I’m being nice enough with my pranks. I don’t know yet… but I know I’ll beat that score of no detentions…” she stated before nodding as he said it’d be the perfect time for them to go to the potion classroom.

“Don’t worry, you won’t get caught if I’m here!”
"I've heard you're quite good at not getting caught," Fred said. "At least I've heard of the pranks you pulled, cause nobody but you could pull them off." Fred chuckled as he said that, there were a few other people who played pranks but Parker's were always a bit bigger than everyone else's.
“Oh yes! I’m up for this all the way!”
"I don't know why I even ask," Fred said, shaking his head. "If there's one person who would be willing to get a really long dentention for some mischief it's you." Fred then began to think how he could get into the potion's closet quietly and without being caught. Maybe him and Parker could think of it on their walk there.
“Psh, non sense. I could always try to break that score, next year… or this year if I’m being nice enough with my pranks. I don’t know yet… but I know I’ll beat that score of no detentions…”
"There is always next year for you, that's true," Fred said. "I'm just hoping for my last year that I'll be out of dentention more than in." He then shrugged. "But then again, it is my last year so I should live it up, right?" Fred looked up and the down the corridors to be safe that no one was coming then turned back to Parker.
"Let's get going," Fred said, reaching for Parker's hand automatically. It was something he always did when he wanted to make sure he wouldn't lose somebody. They were going to have to be quick, and stealthy, and they couldn't get seperated.

"I've heard you're quite good at not getting caught, at least I've heard of the pranks you pulled, cause nobody but you could pull them off."
Shirley laughed silently, not wanting Filch to catch them and send them in detention for a month because he had heard her laugh…well mostly because they were outside of their common room while they were supposed to be there but who cares. “Eh, that’s one of my special talents.” She replied jokingly.
"I don't know why I even ask, if there's one person who would be willing to get a really long dentention for some mischief it's you."
She smirked at him and laid her back to the nearest wall as he spoke for an other time. It was true, he knew her somewhat well. In fact, he was one of the people who knew her the most except for her parents and a few close friends. Some would judge her as being an idiot; due to the fact that she is blonde- but it wasn’t true, she did have good results in classes. They just didn’t know about them and she was fine like that. Besides, she didn’t care about what the others would say about her. Anyways, it was just school…
"There is always next year for you, that's true, I'm just hoping for my last year that I'll be out of dentention more than in. But then again, it is my last year so I should live it up, right?"
She smiled up at him but mentally frowned. It was true it was his last year here at Hogwarts. God things would be boring next year. She wouldn’t be able to see him as often as now, they wouldn’t prank Slytherins together anymore. It made her feel sad. She didn’t want to admit it but she did like him and somewhat, wanted him to be hers but she never made a move, fearing to spoil their friendship or making it weird between the two. That’s why she made a distance between the two of them by not allowing him to call her by her name. She knew she wouldn’t get over him if they became too close. “Yup, better enjoy your last year to the fullest.” She said cheerfully nonetheless.
"Let's get going,"
“Yeah!” the blonde haired girl replied happily as she shoved those previous thoughts away and allowed him to…wait, did he grab her hand? She blinked a few times before blushing lightly. Shouldn’t she be used to that? He tended to do this when he didn’t want to lose someone. An inaudible sigh escaped her lips as she followed him silently and we all know, it is unusual to see a silent Parker…
