Lily, having stayed up far to late the night before came down to the Great Hall with one foot still in her bed. She had forced herself to get up this morning and come down to breakfast. She'd done a quick job of combing her hair, but was still late for breakfast. She yawned as she came in to breakfast and looked around for someone to sit with. She saw Shirley and grabbed an open seat next to her. Lily crossed her arms on the table and put her head down on top of them.
"So tired." She said, opening her eyes and looking up at her pretty blond friend. "I just wanna go back to sleep." They had had way to much fun last night. They and a few friends had been told by James how to get to Hogsmeade via a secret passage under the Whomping Willow, and there had been a rather loud party out at the shrieking shack. They had all stayed up far too late and not thought about the fact that they had classes in the morning.
Lily wished that they had thought about it now. There was no way that she was going to stay awake in Potions. Maybe she would ask the healer for a wakefulness potion. She didn't have time to brew on herself before class. Besides, she was so tired that she probably would have messed it up anyways. She decided to settle with tea and lifted her red head to reach for the pot sitting on the table.
"Are you as tired as I am?"

Shirley has been up since a while now, and had been chatting along with Fred and a few other Gryffindors of her age. You couldn’t notice that the girl had been off for a good part of the previous night, partying along with Lily Potter in that Shrieking Shack. It has been a very fun one as well. Though, the best part has been when they had sneaked out of Hogwarts to get in there… it was so thrilling. Who would’ve known about that secret passage under the Whomping Willow.
She had began to eat her breakfast, finally, after all this chatting it had driven her hungry. She giggled silently seeing her friend so tired. This younger girl was surely not used to going out and coming back so late. She had gotten used to it that is, she didn’t really mind anymore to stay awake all night then going back to class the next morning.
"So tired. I just wanna go back to sleep”
Parker smiled over to her housemate and let out a light laugh. “You’ll see, you’ll get used to it after the fifth…or tenth party…” she replied wile a small smirk played onto the blonde’s lips. She handed to the younger girl a glass filled up with hot chocolate. “It always helps me to stay awake…for some reasons.” Partly due to the cocoa and caffeine in it. It was much more better than coffee, and much more tasty.
"Are you as tired as I am?"
Shirley shook her head at the girl’s question. Of course she wasn’t tired, she could run twenty laps around the pitch if she wanted to but right now she was just too lazy and wanted to eat.“Nope! You’ll see, with time you’ll get used to it.” she assured the younger Gryffindor with a smile.

Lily took the cup of hot chocolate from her friend, yawning again. "I... don't think so. But then again, I've never been a morning person." She sipped the cocoa gratefully and eyed the various breakfast foods that were set out on the table. The biscuits and gravy caught her eye and she set down the cup to reach for them.
"It was worth it though." She said, beginning to perk up a little bit, Parker's energy being somewhat contagious. "We probably should have thought about this morning though." She added with a smile. She was rather surprised that she was only tired this morning, which was a blessing in it's own way. She'd been trying to keep up with the sixth years last night, a plan that had worked out surprisingly well. Though some of her recollection was fuzzy. "I didn't do anything that I'll regret did I?" Shirley unconsciously turned her gaze to Fred and smiled while looking at him. He hadn’t changed much, from all the years she knew him the only thing that had changed was that he had become more muscular and had an older expression. She sighed softly before turning her attention back to her older friend as she spoke again, glancing occasionally at her red haired older friend. Of course, no one knew about her crush on Fred, or at least she hoped so.
"I... don't think so. But then again, I've never been a morning person."
Parker laughed lightly at Lily’s comment. Now that she thought about it, it was true that Lily never woke up so early. She on the other hand did like waking up early once in a while, especially when it has something related with prank. She’d stay up all night if it was for a prank. Especially with a good one reserved for some Slytherins.
"It was worth it though. We probably should have thought about this morning though. I didn't do anything that I'll regret did I?"
Her mind wandered to Fred once again until the younger Gryffindor spoke again. “Mh?” She said as if she had just been daydreaming about god knows what. She blinked before blushing at her obviousness before trying her best to stay focused on the other girl and not on Fred. She shook her head at the girl’s question. “Nope, well, you did end up kissing some dude, but it wasn’t a Slytherin so you’re safe.” she said smirking slightly.

Lily looked to see what was catching Parker's attention so and noticed it was her cousin. She looked from one to the other curiously. She was about to ask what was so interesting about him this morning when Parker answered her question. Was it just her imagination, or was her friend blushing?
"Well, that's good? Is there something particularly interesting about Fred this morning?" She asked, a hint of mischief in her eye. Parker was being fairly obvious, and even someone who was just barely awake wouldn't have missed that blush. Unless of course they were making the teacups fight each other as Lily noticed certain redheads down the table of them were doing.

"Well, that's good? Is there something particularly interesting about Fred this morning”
Shirley blinked at what Lily had said. Was she really that obvious with this one? Oh god, she really didn’t want Fred to find out, besides, she was sure he only liked her as a friend, nothing more. She hadn’t seen any sings from him so she could try to go a bit ‘further’ in their relation. Psh, besides, she didn’t want to ruin the friendship they had as crime partners towards the Slytherins.
Her cheeks became slightly darker before she took a sip of her drink and a bite of her toast. What could she possibly say to that? That he had a nice ass? Well, yes he did but that wasn’t the point right now. She had to come out with something quick. She turned her gaze back to her plate trying to think about a quick answer.
“Nah… it’s your imagination…” she blurted out before trying hard to focus on her eggs, and only on that.

The redhead eyed her friend suspiciously. There was something rather odd about the way the older girl was acting. She looked back at he cousin, and noticed that Parker was tying her best to not look at him. There was something going on here and she knew it. It reminded her of how her cousins would sometimes act when they were sweet on someone. Lily decided to let it go for the time being however. She was pretty sure that her suspicions were correct though.
She shifted her gaze back to Parker, and with a look of, 'Don't-worry-I-won't-tell-anyone' in her eyes, she changed the subject. "Any grand pranks planned for this week?" She asked, figuring that it was a safe enough subject but might cause the blond to let a little more of her emotions slip. Besides, maybe their prank would backfire some.

Shirley blinked, it was pretty d**n hard to try not to look at the other prankster. Really, why did she have to fall for him anyways? Her other experiences with boys didn’t end up quite well and besides, she wouldn’t want to ruin the friendship she and Fred had. It would suck if they ended up in an awkward situation or worse, ended up not being friends anymore because of those stupid feelings.
Like for that Lucian guy who she had been crushing on the previous year… she did end up making out with him and all in a party… but she had realised it was only a dare he had made with his stupid Slytherin friends. She glared at the though, next time she’d get to see him she’d punch him hard, someone hurting her dignity like that; he would pay. He would be the target of the ultimate prank she would create, that’s for sure. He had humiliated her in front of the Slytherins, she would give him the same treatment. She just needed to think about a good way to do so.
"Any grand pranks planned for this week?"
She had been lost into her thoughts for a while now but hearing Lily’s voice, made her come back to earth. She blinked for an other time before staring at her red haired friend and smiled at the girl’s question, noticing that ‘Don’t-worry-and-so-on-look’ She nodded at her, at least she could trust Lily. “I’m thinking about it, I don’t know yet, I shall try to find a good prank by the end of the week.” She answered.
