Jade ducked behind a large gloomy tree, panting lightly as she listened, waiting for the thundering of footsteps to run past where she was. She had once again teased a small group of Slytherins about how they all weren't bad, and they hadn't taken it quite well. They had been chasing after her for a quite a while, but thanks to her Quidditch training she was able to keep running for quite some time.
Now, however, she was becoming worn out. Her hair sleek with sweat, stuck to her already wet forehead. Soon she heard the footsteps going past, shouting could be heard as well, however, she couldn't make out what they were saying.
When it was all quiet again, Jade slowly walked around the front of the tree, looking around once more. She had lost them. Sighing heavily, Jade wiped at her face with her hand, wishing she wasn't all sweaty now. She was about to head back to the castle when she felt her arm being grabbed, twisted behind her back by the person holding her.
A cool breath could be felt on her neck, moving her hair only slightly. She threw her head back, hoping to make contact with her attacker, but was unsuccessful. The attacker kept his hold on the young brunette, slowly moving her towards the forbidden forest where he could easily slip away with her into the darkness.

Asher slipped out of the Hufflepuff common room and decsended the steps to the entrance hall. He stepped outside then began to stretch his legs. There was a big test in Charms tomorrow, his worst subject, and he needed to walk off some stress. He really needed to get a high score in that class and all he could do was think he wasn't going to fail.
To help him relax he decided to take a run, it always helped him calm down. Once he finished stretching his legs he leaned down, touched the ground, then stood up and took off running. The wind began to whip through his hair and ruffle his clothes. Immediately Asher felt himself becoming calm and relaxed as he took deep breaths of fresh air.
Before he realized he was standing before the forbidden forest. A group of Slytherins rushed passed him, knocking into him. They turned around, cussed him for being in the way, then took off again. Asher decided to stop and take a break, he leaned against a tree and let his heart slow down. It was then he heard a branch crack. He turned just in time to see two people disappear into the trees.
Asher didn't know why but he had an instinct to follow them. He crept into the woods and when the two people got into sight he saw a boy dragging a girl away. She didn't look like she was wanting him to. Asher stepped out of the trees and drew his wand. "I think you might want to let her go," he said, not yet showing he had his wand out.

Jade jumped, hearing a voice that sounded kind of familiar to her ears. The guy holding her threw her towards the ground then ran off, disappearing into the darkness. Standing up again, Jade dusted herself off, turning her gaze over to the guy that had rescued her. Well not really rescued her, more like scared off the guy, but then again, that was rescuing her in a way.
"Thanks." she said softly. She couldn't help talking softly. That was her normal voice even when she wanted to be loud. She hated it, but she couldn't do anything about it. Even her sister and her mum had a soft voice which didn't help much.
Stepping around some bushes, Jade looked over at him again, smiling slightly at him. "So what's a guy like you doing out here all by himself?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Shouldn't you be with your friends or something?" she continued, standing in front of him, looking up at him.

Asher was pleasantry surprised when the guy took off without warning. He didn't really like to fight and was glad he had run. Asher put his wand away happily then turned the girl he had helped. Or he hoped he had helped, he didn't want her to think he thought she couldn't handle herself. She didn't seem angry though so that made Asher feel better.
"You're welcome," he said, smiling. There was something about her voice that was trying to trigger a memory but he couldn't think of it. He just continued to watch her as she was watching him.
"I was running, actually," Asher answered, noticing that he had gotten a bit sweaty from the run and the thought of having to fight the boy off. He wiped his sleeve across his forehead and shrugged his shoulders at her last question. "I like to get away sometimes, just to be alone with myself, to think, you know. We all need that sometimes."
Now it was Asher's turn to ask a question. "What are you doing out here all alone?" he asked. "Shouldn't you be with your friends?"

Jade looked up at him, her eyes caught on his for a minute or two. They were familiar, but not enough for her to bring back any memories from. "I was with my sister actually. I got bored of being in the library with her, so I came out here. I teased some Slytherins, and they came chasing after me." she responded, looking out the trees towards the rest of the grounds. At least those dumb slytherins were gone, now she didn't have to worry about them.
Returning her gaze to him, Jade smiled slightly at him. "Shall we get out of these trees?" she asked. Before she got an answer though, she started heading out of the trees anyways. Stepping out into the bright sunshine, Jade smiled brightly, spinning around in a circle a couple of times, before returning her gaze to him.
"Are you going to go finish your run now, or do you wish to keep me company good sir?" she asked with a smile, looking over her shoulder at him, her hair falling delicately across her face.

"They must have been the Slytherins that almost ran me down, they looked quite angry," Asher said, smirking. The idea of a Slytherin being angry was always funny. Considering most of the time they were angry he didn't know why it would be funny anymore.
"That's a good idea," Asher said, following the girl out of the forest. Once he was out he took another deep breath and a small smile creeped across his face. In the sunlight he was able to see the girl fully and once again he swore there was a memory he was missing. Maybe it was that weird, deja-vu feeling.
"I believe I've ran quite enough," Asher answered, nodding while he said it. "I can keep you company, madame." Asher then realized he hadn't introduced himself yet but he was too caught up in looking at the girl to ask. Her hair color was very pretty, and it too was familiar. As were her eyes, her face, he just couldn't put his finger on why.

Jade smiled at him, tilting her head to the side as she looked at him. "So, random person that likes to save people's lives, I don't think I've introduced myself yet." she started, laughing lightly. "I'm Jade, Jade Wood." she continued, smiling brightly at him. She couldn't stop smiling at him, even though she had only met him.
She couldn't figure out why she felt as if he was so familiar. After all, she had met quite a few people in her life, but most of the time she never saw them again. She couldn't figure out why this time it had to be any different. Maybe she had a different history with him. She wasn't sure though which kind of bugged her. Well not a lot, but enough to keep her mind moving, wondering why she knew him.
"And you are?" she asked, smiling at him as she got her mind back onto them right then, her eyes moving from his eyes, to his lips, then back up to his eyes, trying once more to recognize him or at least figure out why she did.

"Jade," Asher said, recognizing the name yet again but still not why. "I'm Asher Morgan, random girl who needed saving." Asher smirked and shifted his weight from his right foot to his left as he looked at Jade. He really wished he could remember why she seemed so familiar to him.
Of course he had known a lot of people in his life. Maybe she just looked like someone he had known. That would make some sense but that's not what he felt. He felt like he knew her personally.
"My middle name is a whole other story though," Asher said, chuckling. "My parents like such different things than I do." Asher smiled and wondered why his parents had decided to torture him with his middle name.

She looked up when he said his name. "Asher?" she asked lightly, looking down as she tried to think. Her mind soon became flooded with memories, mainly those from a year or so back when she had met a guy that looked exactly like him at a ball her parents had been hosting. She could remember dancing with him, heck, she could remember talking with him.
"You attended my parents dance, or ball, whatever you want to call it." she said looking up at him quickly, smiling slowly. "We danced together, and talked. We spent most of the evening together in fact." she continued, stepping closer to him.
She could believe she had actually found him, the one person who she had dreamed night after night about, wanting to be with him once more. "I can't believe I've found you." she whispered softly.

"Jade," Asher said, this time remembering exactly who she was. The girl he had never forgotten, the girl he had been looking for. To think he couldn't remember who she was. She looked exactly the same. it must have been his memory of her that had faded but now that he saw her again the memory was clear.
He took a step closer to her and a smile graced his face once again as he looked down at her. Finally, here she was, the girl who had never left his thoughts. Not since meeting her had he forgotten her. "That ball was terrible," Asher said, then grinned. "Until I met you, then suddenly it got much better."
Asher didn't even know he had done it but subconciously reached out his hand for Jade's. Stopping incase she didn't want to take his hand but still holding it there none-the-less. "I've been searching for you, Jade Wood, for a very long time," Asher said. "I never stopped."
