Kenji was waiting for Shirley to start up the conversation when the door opened. He quickly turned his head to see who was the intruder. It was an Asian girl, a ravenclaw by the color of her robe. In himself, he was intrigued though nothing showed in the outside. There were but very few Asians at Hogwarts since after all it was a British school. Kenji being the observant type of person, he recognized her for being in his year and, since also in his house, in every of his classes. Very erased, just like him. Or was she? Maybe she was just shy, there were people like this too. But then again, maybe she was also like him and cared not of other people's company.
Kenji stared at the girl as she explained the reason that brought her here. a letter, of course, why else would you be in an owlery... well come to think of it he didn't come to send a letter but to find inspiration. And that girl just gave him. He rarely saw Asian other than his parents and himself so she became his source of inspiration of the moment. "Don't mind us, send your letter. This isn't our owlery." he said on a very polite tone to Mira. And as he did, he took out his pencils and started drawing the main lines of her delicate frame.

xX x Xx Shirley blinked as she tried to find a subject for their conversation. She didn’t even know what he liked or dislike, she only knew he was an artist. It would be weird just to go on as if she knew him since forever well because in fact, she didn’t know him, he was a mystery to her and he would be a mystery she would solve, no matter what. What could she talk about without looking stupid in front of a Ravenclaw. After all, they were all supposed to be brilliant right? Just then, she opened her mouth, wanting to speak about his art, wondering about what kind of art he was in.
Though, something or should I say someone interrupted her even before she could speak. She blinked, an other Asian… was the Owlery a place where Asians hung around together? Probably not, she had a letter in hands, she would probably just come and go. She studied the girl’s traits and didn’t recognize her either, so this one hadn’t been one of her prank victims. Maybe she could be part of her next ones, but then again, she didn’t feel like doing so; Slytherins were funnier to prank. Besides, she didn’t have a thing against the girl.
"M..my...My apologies for the interruption. Please ignore my presences. I'm just here to..uh deliver a letter."
Parker smiled a little at the girl, she seemed nice; which was good for the ink haired girl. She reminded her of that other shy Hufflepuff she had seen once in a while in the library and she recalled that her name was River. She tried to remember the Asian’s name. She usually remembered everyone’s, why not hers? Oh yeah, now she remember, Mira Zhang. “It’s fine, really.” Assured Parker to the girl before turning her attention to Kenji.
She smiled seeing his drawing. “Hey, that’s really good, you found your inspiration?” She asked him happily. She was happy for him, at least he had managed to find inspiration. She glanced over to the Asian girl as she realised he was drawing her, so he was interested in her? Well, that was interesting… she thought trying her best not to smirk in this situation.

She wasn't sure if she should move or not. Actually she found that the man's chinky eyes were somewhat funny, kinda reminded her of her brother. The ink haired Asian watched as the boy began to draw something and the other girl..probably whire..she presumed, many people look so different these days,s he's not surprised if that boy was not Asian either. Anyways, she watched as if it was a animation as the girl exclaimed over the boy's quick storks. He must be skilled....or drawing scribbles.
Mira looking back at the cages of owls that were presented. She looked for a specific one and smiled. It was snow white with red spots, as if it had the chicken pox, it was so funny, she adored that bird. Taking it out of it's cage, she wrapped the little note around it's leg.
"Fly away." She mumbled before moving her arm up, as a gesture for it to take off. It spread it's long wings before finally flapping and shooting off like a falling star. Turning around, she saw that the boy was still sketching. She stared at them for a second, trying to remember their detail. Maybe they'll make a good painting..just for laughs. Nodding, she sat on the table of the owlery.
"Aiyo....what are you guys drawing?" She rose a brow, maybe they have heard of rumors and drawing her in a disgusting portray of one of the rumors. How she will burn that picture down if it was.

Kenji blinked once when Shirley looked at his sketch and talked of it. He raised his head to look into her eyes. She was seeing certain sparks in it, and at the corner of her lips, wasn't it the beginning of a smirk? She must have found out who was that girl he was drawing, that other girl who entered just now.
He stopped for a moment to draw to observe Mira. She was looking at them. He guessed it was probably quite a phenomenom to see two people talking while one ofthem was sketching, that in the owlery of all places.
Kenji had returned his attention on his portrait when Mira asked what he was drawing. He looked up once more at her. Since his art was not really something he was hiding for others, he didn't mind handing her the sketch book. Sure she was not done but already did the traits looked like hers. The frame, the hair, the small line of the eyes he hadn't done yet, busy he was on her clothes. And that because he didn't make her in her schoolwear but in some Asian inspired clothes. He felt it was more fitting her, the fabric following the body lines like only Asian clothes were in older times. He watched Mira watching the portrait of her, wondering how she would react. Will she be flattered someone was drawing her, will she be mad? Or maybe she didn't like the type of clothes he put her in...

She took the pad with care, not to accidentally smug some of the pencil. Turning around toward her she studied the drawing, particularly the girl on there. She was faded...sketched wearing a ruqin, a traditional Han dynasty garment for women. Her hair was long, like Mira's. Her face wasn't sketched out all the way, there was still some shading and bolding that should be done more to give the drawing more distinctive features. The garment didn't show much curvy form of the girl besides the bosom that was about it. A amulet was hanging from the left of the girl's waist and stood there in motion as if she was walking. The girl's arm's was raised up and seem to have been blocking sun rays, or she assumed so naively. The drawing was beautiful, but who would he draw and why traditional Asian clothing. Staring at the face for a hard minute it finally stuck her. It was like a penciled version of her self, her arm raised was probably when she released the owl from her arm. She was not flattered nor angered, the picture was a picture, it wasn't of a rumor...for once...she was glad someone drew her. All the other little doodles she saw where to make fun of her and her attitude...like a snake snapping away at people who dare come close.
'...He has skill...' She thought to herself as she kept looking over the small details of the drawing. Looking back at him, she took a long minute, memorizing his features, the small lines of his eyes, how far away was his hair line was from his face, the style of his hair. Looking back at the pad, she returned it to him, satisfied.
"You draw very well. I'm surprised you can draw a ruqin so well." She was no longer stuttering, Mira noted to herself. Her brown opals glimmer in a bit of amusement. She too note of the girl as well. She was...pretty, it was so rare that Mira would judge someone as pretty, she of course was a bit vain herself so it was hard to admit that someone else was pretty, at least to her standards. Dirty blond hair, blue eyes, pale skin....weren't they descriptions of a angel in some story book she read somewhere? How fun, they both were somewhat dazzling to her eyes...was it first impressions or was it appearances. That is when she also realized that she had taken some interest in that boy..that nameless boy.
'Maybe because he was Asian.' She thought before nodding to herself slightly. That was probably why, there were so few Asians at this school...or at least so few she had seen...she had assumed subconsciously she was the only Asian in the whole house.
"Maybe one day I will paint you two..." She spoke quietly with a small smile, how rare she felt her cheeks rise to a smile, how rare indeed!

xX x Xx "Aiyo....what are you guys drawing?"
Shirley glanced to the Asian girl as she spoke and smiled, she had managed not to smirk. That was good. Really, she wondered how long it’d take her not to smirk in such a situation and she happened to be ‘zen’ during that moment. Though, she didn’t answer to her question, since Kenji had showed her his piece of art. Really, he was skilled, very skilled. She wondered about if he’d become an artist or work in something related to art when he’d be an adult and when he’d finish his time spent here at Hogwarts.
Now that Shirley recalled the other girl’s name, she knew some rumours were about her and also that not a lot of people liked her because she seemed to like spreading any kind of rumours about the other. She blinked at the though, she didn’t seem that bad, to her point of view. Besides, she hadn’t spread any rumours about her, so Mira was safe from Shirley’s pranks for the moment.
"You draw very well. I'm surprised you can draw a ruqin so well. Maybe one day I will paint you two..."
The blonde haired girl grinned over to Mira. Seeing the Ravenclaw’s smile; it made her just happy for some odd reasons she didn’t really know about. Maybe it was because she wasn’t as bad as the others could describe her. People could be so mean at times, it was horrible. A glint of curiosity reached her green blueish eyes as the Asian talked for an other time. She could paint? She wished she could see some of the girl’s work. Ravenclaws seemed to be a bunch of talented people. Wow. She envied them somehow. Of course, Shirley knew she had talent and creativity or else she wouldn’t be creating those pranks reserved mostly for Slytherins. “You can paint? That’s great! I can’t draw a single thing… well the only thing I draw well are dots…which isn’t that creative.” She said chuckling.

“You can paint? That’s great! I can’t draw a single thing… well the only thing I draw well are dots…which isn’t that creative.”
Flattery.
That was the only word that came into Mira's head, she merely smiled at the girl, a unfriendly nor hostile smile but just a creepy and mysterious aura intimated from it. She rang her fingers through her ink black hair. The girl...she didn't seem unfriendly, but very happy and modest...a bit to happy..like a peppy cheerleader. She didn't say anything about it, being a peppy cheerleader. This was joining unusually well...in her point of view seeing that she did not have a single friend nor aquent besides those backstabbing and brazen potion and transfiguration partners.
"My familie..." She started out in a bit of french, for amusement sake. "Ma familie is known for their painting skills...it's like a family tradition all the children learn how to paint well." She gave out the first detail of her life ever. She however did not mention they bring their artwork to life by just merely putting the paper between their lips and blowing on it. No, the information did not seem valid to her.
Looking at Kenji...she noticed that in her water color...what type of clothing should he have. Traditional? Indian? Japanese? Chinese? French? British? Modern? And same with the girl what should she wear? A flowing ball room gown, a tight and slimming attire...all of those seem to work perfectly well with the students. ... Ah....what were they names? She finally realized that throughout this whole experience she had yet to learn their names. How rude of her...how rude indeed.
"I believe I haven't properly introduced myself." She swept a find cursity before letting a bit of her personality, a bit of charm and mischief leek into her expression, filling the void in her face. "I am Mira Zhang."
[ooc: I forgot which profile i was using because I have two other hp accounts on different boards. with the alias Lorelai. Ahh. edited. >.> and I nearly failed french2 last year so I guess I don't have a excuse.]

xX x Xx Shirley blinked at the female Asian’s smile, but didn’t say any comment about it. She guessed that the girl wasn’t used to friendly people like, she, herself, was. Though, her smile never faded away. She believed everyone was nice. Some were just distant towards the others and you only needed to make them comfortable enough so they could open up.
"My familia...Ma familia is known for their painting skills...it's like a family tradition all the children learn how to paint well."
Parker’s smile grew slightly bigger at the information Mira was giving to her. So she had managed to know this detail about the girl. To tell the truth, she didn’t know much about this one except that she was an Asian. It was maybe because she acted mysterious or something. She didn’t know. She wasn’t sure how this girl was a mystery to her but she was. God, now she’d have to solve two mysteries; Kenji and the girl and she knew they weren’t the only ones around school. “That’s awesome!” she commented nicely.
"I believe I haven't properly introduced myself. I am Mira Zhang."
Parker smiled and nodded as the girl presented herself. “Shirley Parker but I would prefer you to call me Parker…” Ooc: Familia isn’t French. The world for family in French is famille ^^ trust me, French is my first language lol. Same for Kenji-san. :3

Kenji took back the pad from Mira's hands delicately. He was glad she didn't seem mad at all. Some girls didn't like to be the model without knowing. Never knew why though. "I have seen some... in my mother's books." he explained about the ruqin. His mother was Chinese and she kept several books of the history of that great country.
He let Mira examined him. She was sizing him up, maybe to remember him the next time they will meet. But then she said she was painting. She became more interesting to Kenji some. And then a saw a smile on her lips. He tilted his head. Something was strange about that smile. it wasn't that it was not a true one, he couldn't be more sure of her sincerity, no. Maybe she simply wasn't used to smile, just like him. The rarely moment you were catching him smiling, he was usually eating candies. But of course, it didn't mean he couldn't smile during other moments.
Kenji was soon taken away from his thoughts though as Shirley chuckled. He glanced at the blond haired girl, puzzled about what made her laugh like this. He had barely listened to her and so had no idea what she said. Kenji noticed Mira's smile. Shirley's jolliness seemed weird to her as well. No, it wasn't weird. Kenji could understand very well one may be jolly. No, it was more the fact that compared to the two Asians, it was quite a clash.
They all seemed to remain silent after Mira explained art was a family gift, a tradition. Kenji understood she was giving them bits of her, but in the same time, the information was put in the back of his mind. Maybe someday it would be useful, but for now he thought he could concentrate on other things.
He listened to the two girls introducing themselves. He nodded, knowing that Mira would want to know his name as well. "Kenji. Kenji Boswell." he said in a whisper.

She blinked, unsure as her tilted her head. Kenji...wasn't that Japanese. Taking a second look at him she realized...of pure stupidity he was Asian, like her. Boswell...was English...or french...scottish..she couldn't tell the last name. Sighing she received her awkward smile from her face. They had seen enough, personally she had felt her smile toward people were a bit ugly...
"Kenji....and Shirley....I'll be sure to remember such names." She proclaimed in a small but dominate voice, her eyes never loosing their mysterious glint.
She had to wonder though, what where they doing in the owlery together...it is not uncommon to send a letter but no letter resided in either other's hand...maybe....secret lovers? Her lips curved up in a mysterious and jingling smile. How her imagination does so fascinate her. Lovers...what a trip, but of course nothing is impossible in the world of possibilities. Rubbing her chin, she balanced one arm on the other.
"I say you two are so close...unlike brothers and sister but more like lovers..of course you may correct me but this is my observations. Love birds so close are you two seem quite rare to hide your affections." She had decided to test them or most like tease them. If they so be lovers, her mother would be disappointed in her letters to hear one of the only Asians in the school be taken as her brother would be so realived...Wang-Zi...if he wakes up she wondered what his reactions would be.
'No now...now is not the time to sulk over such rhetoric things." She calmed herself, a bit hurt at the thought of her sleeping brethren. Staring them in the eyes, the Ravenclaw student waited for this reply.

xX x Xx Shirley just smiled as she saw the two of then interact with each other. Awe, they were so cute. They would be a perfect match; they only needed to open up some more and it would be it. A mischievious glint appeared into her blueish-greenish eyes at the thought and even let out a giggle before finding back a normal expression. She tilted her head as the Asian girl talked once again and said something that made her smile.
"I say you two are so close...unlike brothers and sister but more like lovers..of course you may correct me but this is my observations. Love birds so close are you two seem quite rare to hide your affections."
She shook her head. Her feelings were not for Kenji but a certain red haired boy who’s family name was Weasley. An inaudible sigh escaped the blonde’s lips at the thought of Fred and a very light blush appeared onto her cheeks. Man she was getting more and more obvious with her feelings which she thought was quite dangerous because she was somewhat scared to tell him her feelings. Not wanting their friendship to be spoiled and not wanting to be too close to him since he had only one year left before he’d leave the school and she didn’t appreciate that at all.
“Oh no, we’re not lovers, we have just met in fact. Just like me and you.” She said with a small smile. “ I’m too young to be hooked up with someone…” she added with a wild grin. Yeah, she had to experiment a few more things. She also had to deal with the crap out of that Lucian guy who had made fun of her at a party, she would never forgive him what he’ve done!

“Oh no, we’re not lovers, we have just met in fact. Just like me and you.” She said with a small smile. “ I’m too young to be hooked up with someone…” she added with a wild grin.
She nearly let out a smirk, was she correct or was the girl thinking about another? She shook her head, reacting to her question. How adorable, really now they would make one of the most...interesting couples. Maybe she should do some investigating, how sweet would that be. Maybe she can somehow tackle the blond down and get her measurements...and send it to Marigold Corp. Mira stopped, blinking she began to analyze what she just said.
She was willing to get her brother to make her friend a dress...she just referred to them as friends... Smiling to her self a bit, she realized that it was kinda of nice...the feeling of having friends around was a cozy and secure feeling. Looking up she saw that the Asian boy had not say a word. Maybe he held feelings for the blond and wish not to speak!! How defiant. He dare not express his feelings for her!
Maybe she should make a plan for them to get together....those blushes could mean of course she had deep affection for Kenji. Maybe in her painting it should be ones of lovers...imagined how shocked they would be. The expressions sounded priceless, priceless! Running her fingers through her dark long locks again, her dark chocolate eyes twinkled.
"I see, I see. No feelings of love for each other. To young to love and told young to date. Of course that shouldn't stop you, both from expressing...intimate feelings."

Kenji blinked some as Mira talked of Shirley and himself as lovers. Could it really be what they looked like? Or did Mira thought so simply because they were together in the owlery and didn't seem to be sending letters? He was to say they were not lovers but Shirley beat him. He nodded, to show he was agreeing with her. They were far from lovers.
He turned his head though when Shirley said they had just met. "It's not true. I know you, you always hang out with Fred Weasley." he spoke up. He knew Fred well, very well indeed, as he was Fred's favorite testing subject for his pranks.
"I see, I see. No feelings of love for each other. To young to love and told young to date. Of course that shouldn't stop you, both from expressing...intimate feelings."
Kenji turned once again his head towards Mira. He was trying to understand why she was thinking there could be any intimate feelings between them. Kenji was not the kind to hang out with people much and certainly not with someone with as much energy as Shirley. He made a quick analysis of Mira. Maybe his silence made her think he didn't want to speak because he had feelings for Shirley. Not having noticed Parker's blush, he had no idea it was also an argument pointing in that direction. "I'm satisfied being alone." he said simply.

xX x Xx Shirley studied the Asian girl’s expression while that smile of hers was still gracing on her features. She wondered about what she was thinking at the moment. She had to admit that this one was fun to hang out with; she could even drag her to some of the famous parties. There were many cute guys out there, even some Asians; maybe they would get along pretty well who knows.
"I see, I see. No feelings of love for each other. To young to love and told young to date. Of course that shouldn't stop you, both from expressing...intimate feelings."
The blonde couldn’t help but laugh softly at what her new friend had said. Intimate feelings? She grinned at the ink haired girl; this one was sure funny. Yup, Mira was now on Parker’s friends list. Even if Mira wouldn’t appreciate it much, she didn’t know but she sure was willing to hang out more with her. “Nah, the last person I’ve shared ‘intimate’ feelings with was a Slytherin and I just want to chop his head at the moment; being single is more fun for the moment.” She said openly. Why hide such hate towards this Lucian? Probably everyone in school knew now about this dumb story. Tsh, what a pain rumours were.
"It's not true. I know you, you always hang out with Fred Weasley."
Shirley smiled at Kenji’s words. Ah, Fred, the only one she feared to lose. “Yup, he’s one of my closest friends, I know he likes to prank you here and there. For the moment we’re working on an amazing prank but I won’t say more about this one, you’ll find out what it is…probably soon enough.” She finished as a smirk formed onto her lips. Oh yeah, though, the Slytherins; their favourite targets would be the first one to find out what the prank’s about.
"I'm satisfied being alone."
Parker tilted her head at what he said next. He was really satisfied being alone? Didn’t he feel lonely at times? She on the other hand, would die being alone and left out, maybe he was used to it but still. She didn’t know how he did. People sometimes could be just too cruel. “Aren’t you lonely at times?” she asked him frowning.

Mira nearly smirked at how the blond carried herself, a bit flushed at the mention of a boy's name. It sounded so familiar and yet not so much. Her face lite up at the reminder of their good times by Kenji's more the a little bitter words of distaste. Was this...Fred Weasley boy a bit more odd then usual? Shirley didn't make it seem like he was out of the ordinary teen. A mischiefious little monkey maybe. Her ears perked up to the rumbling of the other Asians throat as he began to form words.
"I'm satisfied being alone." Mira was a bit surprised at his answer, she assumed he was someone who would be able to get along with anyone, even if his personality traits are a bit....well dulled in a sense of nearly no interest. She could also applaud, proving that she wasn't the only one who couldn't permit other's to enter their boundaries, of the mind or the trust, and the heart.
“Aren’t you lonely at times?”
She blinked surprised at Shirley's question to Kenji's answer on loneliness. The dark ink haired girl analyzed the aspect of being alone, always in silence and began to question herself. Didn't she too adore the silence, not really having to many bodies around to distract her or annoy her from small little passions like painting or reading. Glancing up with her dark chocolate eyes she watched as Shirley's facial expression inquire that of a bit of concern. Did she believe wanting to be alone was a sign of depression?
That's what her mother though happened to her at one point when the letter sent out. Moving a lock of hair from her face and tucked it behind her left ear, the Asian teen leaned against one of the tables of the owlery behind her and thingyed her head to the side before speaking her mind about this loneliness issue everyone has began to ride upon.
"Is there something wrong with being alone? Sometimes privacy is a sense of..." She wanted to say security for herself but Kenji's intentions could be completely different. Security to her in the school was to just not hurt nor under minded with. She's seen the cruel tricks by students in her age group, she highly doubt she'll open up till they finally mature in their mid-twenties if ever maturing at all.
"It can't be that bad alone right? I mean, some people are just...satisfied." She shrugged, not wanting to reveal any information on herself about this subject. As much as it was uncomfortable for her to realize this is a major flaw in her personality but accepting such a ridiculous objective is a flaw was completely outrageous to herself.
